Marquee
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Marquee is a personal movie and TV tracking app. This policy explains what we collect and how it's handled.
What we collect
- If you use Marquee without signing in: your library, ratings, notes, and watch history stay on your device and sync only to your own private Apple iCloud account (via Apple CloudKit). We cannot see or access this data.
- If you choose Sign in with Apple (optional, for Marquee Cloud cross-device sync): we receive an Apple user identifier and, if you permit it, your email address — which may be an Apple private-relay address. To sync your library across your devices, we store a copy of your library metadata (titles, ratings, watch dates, status, genres) on our cloud backend. We do not store the text of your private notes.
- Movie & TV data (TMDB): to search and show titles, availability, and community reviews, the app sends requests — such as your search terms and the titles you open — to The Movie Database (TMDB). We do not retain these requests.
What we don't do
We do not show ads, use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, track you across other apps or websites, or sell or share your data with data brokers.
Service providers
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and iCloud/CloudKit storage.
- Supabase — our cloud backend and host; Marquee Cloud data is stored in Canada.
- TMDB — provides movie and TV catalog data. Your use of TMDB data is also subject to TMDB's terms. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Retention & deletion
Local data is removed when you delete the app. Marquee Cloud data is removed when you delete your account in the app (Account → Delete Account) or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your synced data.
Children
Marquee is not directed to children under 13.
